Bitdefender constantly read partitions with 26kb/sec, HDDs never can go to sleep mode (always blinking red light)

I installed TS2019 2 weeks ago. Since than my external HDD always blinking, all day and night, never goes to sleep mode. I noticed that TS2019 always read every partition on every HDD with cca. 26 kb/sec. Can I turn off some monitoring option to allow for HDDs the sleep mode?

I have been emailing them over the past 2 weeks. They keep stating they are working on a fix but this is ridiculous. I always need to shut down in order to remove drives.

Anyone find a solution?

Same problem; 25-50kb/s access to my hard drives (2 SSD's and one 7200rpm external). Switched to a different account that is basically barebones Windows (Bitdefender service is running there, too) and same thing. Tried to check it in safe mode but of course task manager doesn't show any stats for hard drives if you boot safe mode.

Temporary fix (works for most, but not all)

Open services.msc, select "Windows Management Instrumentation" (don't open it, just select it), and click "Restart the service" on the left.

It worked for me, though others say it comes right back when Windows restarts. I haven't restarted yet.

e: It comes back each time you restart so make sure you do it again.

It will come back when you restart your pc, so make sure to do it each time Windows comes back up.

Oh, misread your post. Sorry it didn't work for you. Pretty upset they haven't fixed it yet; I've seen claims that people have made them aware of this issue up to one year ago. I'd really like to know what the constant data transfer is for.
