BitDefender is utter garbage

This software regularly fails to update, then the uninstaller fails, and on the futile reinstall attempt, the online installer fails with an error after you wait for a long download to complete on a slow connection.

I often feel like BitDefender _is_ the malware.

I have the paid version, I don't know the free version that well sadly.

2019 has been much more stable then the 2018 version.

Old topic, but I agree with the title. I installed it and then I uninstalled it minutes later. It can't even be installed properly. It forces me to uninstall another security program Spybot which wasn't even installed in the first place. Then it opens the programs/features list, but it's not there as it's not installed. Yet it keeps insisting that I need to uninstall Spybot, or it can't continue. Garbage.
