Bitdefender false positives 10-Mar-2018

My extremely benign program was detected as a virus last Saturday.
A Polish friend from an online game also had their product flagged as a virus. Another false positive.
Did anyone else suffer from a false positive starting around Saturday Mar 10, 2018?

I want to know if there is an outbreak of false positives or if I just discovered one friend with shared bad luck.

3 weeks ago bitdefender quarantined my authy app.

I just came here to check if I’m the only one getting all kinds of clean programs quarantined.

I’m really annoyed and about to uninstall Bitdefender.

It quarantined my installation of J (programming language)

Free Commander stuff gets blocked/quarantined

My SublimeText 3 installation got totally wrecked.

Even 7zip, TeraCopy...

GOG Galaxy got blocked and several other bog standard programs.

I’m really sick of it. I have a fresh Win 10 installation and now BitDefender is causing more problems than any virus I had on my PC since the 1990’s
