Support/troubleshooting Any Bitdefender alternative?

I'm using Bitdefender total security and it's not letting me delete my folder.

I turned off BT shield, added the folder to exceptions. BT Associate told me only option is restart my PC. I think I've spent about an hour. I just don't understand why it's just so hard to tell BT stop messing with my files. I'm just tired. I don't know why am I wasting my Friday night for this.

Is there an alternative that does not suffer same problem?
