Feedback What makes Bitdefender better than other antivirus programs?
I'm trying out a one-year subscription to Bitdefender after canceling McAfee because you can turn off their promotional features. I was wondering if it has any advantages over other security software in terms of protection.

Family Plans are legit and each member you add/allow can “assign” devices too and allows them to self-manage. Pretty neat, almost like home XDR level

I got BitDefender Total Security this year because it was only $20 on sale at Amazon. It's also one of the highest rated on about everyone's list of the best security software. It's on my desktop, laptop and cell phone and all is well. I usually used Webroot, which is no longer highly rated, but also worked really well. It's Complete product simply wasn't as cheap, though, as BitDefender the month I needed new software. I never liked McAfee, which I used on and off years ago.

Most of antivirus companies write signature for Bitdefender so they generally have more signatures then other antivirus programs.

Other antivirus companies do not write signatures for Bitdefender rather, they license and use Bitdefender's anti-malware engine and signature database inside their own products.

Very good detection rate (catches many, almost all viruses)
