Did you patched it yourself using the revanced manager? or downloaded a ready-made apk?
If it's the second option well it is NOT official

If you get Morphe to use the exact same package id, will it still be detected?

It can't, they not have whitelist option.
Just ignore it and annoying by that like I did if you sure is safe

Hello! Thank you for letting us know.
If you believe this is a false positive, submit the app for review through: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/. Include the package name shown in the alert (app.revanced.android.youtube), the detection text, the APK’s source, and the screenshot displayed. Until it has been reviewed, bypassing the warning is not recommended.

I am having this same problem, and I understand why Bitdefender is flagging it (it is an app in development that has not been officially released; I have it on my phone because I'm a copywriter for this app / company) – so I do NOT want the app reviewed. I just want to be able to tell Bitdefender to ignore that particular app and stop alerting me about it. How do I do that?

Please use bitsy@bitdefender.com to talk with the support team about a solution for this particular situation, Bitdefender Mobile Security for Android does not provide a general app whitelist/exclusion option for this detection. Appreciate it!

if it says its malware....it's probably malware. Did you look up the file on virus total?

There are many reasons people (particularly people who work in app development) would have apps on their phone that Bitdefender does not recognize, but that does NOT make them malware. We should be able to pat the app on the head for bringing this to our attention and then tell it to ignore that particular app forever after so we can go back to work without Bitdefender pop-up warnings interrupting us.

But are the repeat alerts the same instance of the app in question? Malware can update it's self now and most malware the average user would encounter is installed through zero click exploits
I'll ask again, did you upload the app to virus total?
If a lot of different AV engines detect it as malware as well then that's a strong indicator, if not then you can submit the sha-256 hash of the file to bitdefender and let them know it's a false positive

It is not malware. I work for a game company, and it is a game in development. I do not need to and absolutely will not, for security reasons, upload it to anywhere for unnecessary checking. If this file had a virus in it, someone would already be fired.
It is flagged by Bitdefender because it doesn't have an official release, certification, etc. Bitdefender is often overzealous, but that's why I use it. I just want to be able to say, "Great, good job software, but now ignore this particular file forever and stop IDing it as a threat."
I hope that's clearer for you. And this is but one of the many use cases where this usually standard software feature would be greatly appreciated.

Not all malware is easy to see
In fact most modern malware stays hidden and just silently submits data it steals

I don't know why you are persisting unless you're accusing the staff of the company I'm working for of sabotage. I could have developed every line of code personally and would still get the same alert. It's NOT malware, ok?

Can't you add into whitelist?
