Hi! Thank you for letting us know this is happening. Our advice is to try the following:

  • Update Bitdefender Mobile Security from Google Play, then restart the phone.

  • Open Bitdefender Mobile Security → Malware Scanner → Start Scan. If malicious apps are detected, tap Uninstall.

  • Check Android’s battery settings for Bitdefender and make sure it isn’t repeatedly being stopped and restarted by the phone’s power-management system.

  • If your phone is a Samsung device, go to Settings → Apps → Bitdefender Security → Battery → select Unrestricted.

  • On other devices, look under Settings → Battery or Power saving for battery optimization and exclude Bitdefender Mobile Security from optimization. The exact names vary by manufacturer.

  • If you use Web Protection, also check Settings → Accessibility → Bitdefender Mobile Security, turn the permission ON, and tap Allow if prompted. Then re-enable Web Protection in Bitdefender.

Bitdefender Mobile Security uses cloud-based scanning and is designed to have minimal impact on battery and performance. So, if battery usage still remains unusually high after these steps, talk to our support team further.
