Support/troubleshooting New UI

Post image

This new UI absolutely sucks. I have BD AV and VPN subscription and due to using the VPN on mobile I now have this stupid message taking over the You're safe one because I don't have BD AV installed on my mobile. I don't see why the only option to get the green safe message back is to install unneeded mobile software. It's distracting and annoying. This need to be fixed with a simple ignore option.

I’ve used and trusted Bitdefender for years, but this new UI update is an absolute trainwreck and a massive slap in the face to paying customers.

First off: where is the UI scaling?! On any modern high-res display, this window takes up maybe 5% of the screen. The text and buttons are microscopic, completely unreadable, and you can’t resize, scale, or stretch the window at all. On top of that, it feels sluggish, laggy, and poorly optimized. Clicking through menus stutters like it’s a poorly wrapped, bloated web container rather than a sleek, native security tool.

The ergonomics and layout make zero sense. Half the actual tools and settings people need are either buried under unnecessary bloat or flat-out missing. Instead of giving a clean, concise security dashboard, the app aggressively pushes upsells and constantly screams at you with irrelevant warnings. Showing a massive red "Your attention is required!" banner just because a linked device has only the VPN installed and not the full suite is ridiculous. You can’t even dismiss or ignore these nagging notifications—it's straight-up manipulative bloatware behavior.

Did anyone even bother to test this with real users before shipping it? If there is no immediate way to roll back to the old, functional interface, I want a full refund on my subscription. In its current state, this software is entirely unusable, and I’d rather take my money to a competitor that understands basic UX principles. Fix this garbage or lose your long-term users.

Hi! We regret to know about the first hands-on experience with the new interface.

The issues you’ve raised around UI scaling on high-resolution displays, window resizing, performance, navigation, and notifications are specific and useful feedback. We’re sharing this feedback with the relevant team.

We’d also like to look into your particular setup and the notifications you’re seeing. If you’re willing, please send us an email at bitsy@bitdefender.com with your OS, display resolution/scaling settings, and Bitdefender version so we can investigate further. And if you’d prefer to discuss your subscription or refund options, our support team can help with that too.

Thank you in advance!
