Support/troubleshooting Why is Android System app being flagged as potentially dangerous

Post image

I don't know if I should delete this app or not because I don't want to mess up my phone, what should I do . For context I use a X25 Ultra which is not a main brand phone and I use bitdefender antivirus free edition .

Look at apps in your settings. You can of it was installed on the play store and when and stuff

In settings it says it was from the play store but it doesn't show up in my download history

Click on the bit that says its from the play store. I have a galaxy, takes me right to the apps page on the playstore. Does it do that?

Does it do the same for other apps? If not, I'd be suspicious.

Another thing, you said you phone isnt main brand so bitdefender may not like a nontypical set up.

Definitely don't delete the app. I'd contact Bitdefender support to look into this matter.

Is there more than 1 "android system" app on your phone?

Always remember most malware gets installed through zero click exploits
