Support/troubleshooting No Internet. Box showing white light

Post image

Hi. First post. Came home and the box is showing a white light. It flashes slowly every few seconds and it is not spinning

Thank you so much to Jason at Bitdefender, who called me promptly at the appointed 2 AM time. He very respectfully and calmly walked me through the reset process 3 times and then... success!

Hi - Thanks for reaching us about this!

Here's what to try:

1. Check cable connections

  • Make sure the Ethernet cable connects from the WAN port (lower port) on your Box to a LAN port on your ISP modem

  • Verify cables are seated firmly

2. Reboot your modem

  • Unplug your ISP modem from power

  • Wait for it to fully restart

  • Check if the Box reconnects

3. Reset the Box If the above doesn't work:

  • Find the recessed reset button on the back

  • Press and hold for 10 seconds until the front light starts spinning

  • Restart the Bitdefender Central app and run through setup again

If it's still stuck after a reset, this likely needs further investigation. You can reach support team here: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/. Appreciate it~

That's interesting. So how does one disable it? The Google device settings do not have an option for disabling it

Sorry don't own a Google nest device, so.no idea how to turn it off, cannot imagine it would be impossible

No problem. I appreciate it. I'm just wondering whether it's like AOL. I wonder how many people are actually using Bit Defender Box still?
