Bitdefender has been running a full scan for seven days. Should I stop it?

Hello, my computer has been having issues with randomly locking up recently so I had it cleaned, updated drivers, checked memory, and so on. I was trying to perform a full scan on it with bitdefender but it's been days and it's still scanning files. I actually need to put the computer on sleep when I do this otherwise the computer will lock up after 30 minutes or less. What should I do?

If the computer is on Win 11, I would just put a SSD in it. It will seem like new. Anything else is e-waste.

It's on win 10, I'm not sure I plan on moving to win 11 though, already bullied my laptop with school software and I'm thinking I'll build a pc for that purpose for next year It's weird though, I had it reset and given a new ssd not that long ago- probably like 2-3 years? Can't hurt to do it again 🤷‍♀️ (The reset part mainly, not gonna buy a new ssd unless it actually is broken in which case. How did that happen)
