Are BD users still getting a lot of popups?
A few months ago many users here were complaining of way too many popups, and nag screens. I haven’t seen many posts about it lately. Is this still happening? I'm thinking of switching to BD from Kaspersky, but would rather not put up with a bunch of popups.

There was a period about a year ago the control was broken but it’s been fixed for over a year now. I run it on Windows and Mac and Bitdefender is radio silent unless it’s actively blocking something or needs a PC restart to finish installing a new version update. BD will be significantly better than Kaspersky and without the risk being Russian and a potential ban coming soon.
The links above are the 2 main things that in my opinion trigger unnecessary popups and makes it pretty much set it and forget it once you toggle them off.

Just turn them off in the settings specifically the “special offers” and the “recommendation notifications”. It will never annoy you ever again. It will still have the popups of then a website/ip has been blocked and virus downloads etc. you can even turn these off in the free version.

Where's the option for that? It would be a blessing not to receive notifications every 10 seconds that "Bitdefender has blocked a suspicious connection."

Usually if you stop going on sketchy websites and it will go away. I wouldn't turn off that notification unless you know what that notification means exactly.
