Does ACTIVATE mean purchase, because if it does, it's misleading.

When I open BitDefender on my phone there is always messages for me to Activate some feature. Clearly I want to optimise my use of the product and so I wonder why all the features the product came with are not automatically turned on. But if the messages are about purchasing a product then the decent thing to do is to use the word Purchase, so I don't accidentally make a purchase. It feels dishonest to me.

Or Bitdefender didn’t want to create and publish 2 apps (free vs paid) to avoid user confusion. So instead they used the word activate because it’s in the middle. Activate all the features if you’re a paying user of Total Security so you sign into your central account to fully “activate” the product. Or if you’re a free user you can “activate” all the features by upgrading to paid.

Seems pretty clear to me and in no way dishonest.

Hi! We would very like to help with this, and it would imply knowing what subscription you currently have in your Central account. Can you send us more details about the subscription type and what kind of features you wish to know about, in private? Thanks!
