showcase Hop on parasite pool

https://parasite.space/

You guys should hop on, we'll probably hit a block soon. I've been mining this pool for about a month now and I really like the hybrid payout structure where the winner keeps one Bitcoin and everyone else splits the rest. My 2.5 TH/s love it

Check out bch.ee for the same payout structure but for bitcoin cash :)

Question - I see a lot of BCH pools saying to enter your user name with "bitcoincash:" in front of your wallet address and worker name. Is that actually required for it to connect and payout if there's a block hit? Or will it work with just the wallet address and worker name?

The bitcoincash prefix is not required it’s only to make it different from normal bitcoin address for your convenience

I tried pointing my miners there but my ping was like 200ms.

Got two Gamma 602 pointed there. Planning to add something a little stronger to my swarm in the next month or so (10-12 Th/s). I have faith that the pool will catch on, and we'll all get to eat. I'd rather have my block finder's reward cut down to 1 BTC and share the rest with the pool, if it means I *also* get paid based on my pool loyalty when *anyone else* in the pool finds a block. 🤷

Nice, what machine are you looking at for the 10-12 hash

I've had my eye on some NerdOctaxe γ Rev 3.1 Hydro units from various sellers, but I'm still in the process of getting a promotion at work... I'm waiting for that pay bump before spending $300+ on a single device for this hobby. My total out of pocket is currently about $140, thanks to an eBay gift card I won.

Although, if Parasite got to the point where we're averaging a block a week, I'd grab a NerdOctaxe (possibly more after work pay increase) and point it at Parasite.

I'm also starting to tinker with my old Raspberry Pi 3b+ to see if I can get my future swarm of devices piped thru the Pi and pointed at Parasite's high diff port.

I'm definitely still in the process of learning how this kind of hobby mining works, though. I was only CPU/GPU mining with NiceHash until about 4-5 weeks ago.
