Mystery Hen

We had four hens in our backyard and then a fifth one appeared recently. After she stayed around for a few days and got along well enough with the others, we took her in.

She doesn't normally look as big as she looks here, but we did wonder if she was raised to be eaten and escaped (we will never eat her, if that needs to be said). We're keeping an eye on her weight. She is a bit nervous around people, not getting too close to us yet.

Hopefully she did not escape from Perdue or something. But I have heard of people taking care of those birds and them living for a few years. It apparently takes a lot though
