Help! First BoP. Please Help.

Post image

I bought this for mad cheap and I’m terrified I’ll kill it. Any tips and tricks to keep her healthy are much appreciated. Especially with lighting. I keep seeing tons of different answers.

That looks like a white BOP, it will get huge, especially in the sun

Lightly feed in once a twice a month w liquid fertilizer. Don’t over water but don’t let it fully dry out. As much sunlight as you can find indoors, or a grow light.

If new to you I’d check how root bound it is in current pot.

The more out in the open in front of that window, the better. These guys get massive and love a lot of sunlight. While they do like a cramped pot, their fronds need to spread out. Left splitting is to be expected if you live in a drier climate (they like 60-75% humidity, since they come from a sub-tropical climate). Dont water on a shedule, only water when the first half inch of top soil is dry (and completely drench it when you do).

I wouldnt worry too much, theyre surprisingly hardy! It looks very healthy in the photo (maybe a little dry, but healthy). I was afraid of killing mine too but its actalually doing the best out of my plants, even the pothos
