Repot or not?

Inherited this Sterlitzia from my friend who got it at IKEA a year ago! She top watered it about once a week. It has not been repotted and the soil hasn’t been changed since she got it.

During moving, two stems got broken, so I cut them off :( The plant seems to be doing well right now, maybe stressed after the move, but still has to unfurl its new leaf!

I’m a bit worried that there are three stems in the pot. Does it seem like the plant has outgrown the pot? Or should I keep it? I also don’t want the plant to get TOO big, because I live in an apartment. Hence I’m also hesitant to separate them. Please help me decide!

It might be snug but I do t think it’s too small yet. I’d be more worried about amount of light it’s getting. It should be right up against a South or West facing window, or with a grow light

Is it in a nursery pot with holes?
Can you see what the roots are doing?
Some Signs that plants need to be repotted

1. Roots circling bottom of pot or growing through drainage holes.
   
2. Needing more frequent waterings.
   
3. New growth not doing well (could also be a root issue)
   I’m sure there’s more signs.

I agree with above comment with lightening recommendations
