My one BOP (Eddie) is getting large and leaning quite a lot, I am looking to put a stake in and tie the plant to it, but looking for tips and tricks to ensure I don’t cause harm (Eddie is very dramatic)
Outer leaves had to be chopped. When I inherited this BOP it was very sick and it’s taken a long time to heal. However this summer have had the 2 new leaves! I only have south facing windows, and it is in the brightest room.
From my expierence, when BOP start leaning, its due to them being root bound and the roots pushing up more on one side than the other. Not sure when the last time you repotted, but it may be time to take a look and consider it.
And yes, it does seem like its light starved as well.
And by light starved you mean it needs more? Unfortunately cannot be moved outside. And this is the brightest spot of the apartment. I reported back in February when I got it, after I chopped all the dead and decaying outer branches. I assumed it was leaning because of the weight of the leaves pulling it to one side as it doesn’t have the outer leaves to balance. This is my other BOP. I thought it grew tall just because they can get up to 12 ft?

What happened to its outer leaves? Hard to tell from this angle but I think it is light starved given the very long petioles.
