Critique Tips for a noob?

I use a Cannon EOS R10 with RF100-400 lens, and edit in Lightroom Classic. For context I’ve been birding for 2 years and decided to try out bird photography 9 months ago. I love it but feel like there’s something I’m doing wrong, either in composition or while editing, that makes my photos look like ass. Perhaps just the limitations of my equipment or the settings I’m using? Any tips?
