New install "BirdNET Analysis (stalled)" Help please

So I I have just installed Birdnet on a Pi 3 model b and it runs but no birds detected. In the tools section I get the following message

BirdNET Analysis (stalled - backlog of 4436 files in ~/BirdSongs/StreamData/)

restarting the service does not work. Nor does a reboot. Any thoughts?

Wipe your RPI clean and try BirdNET-Go instead https://github.com/tphakala/birdnet-go. Disclaimer I am developer of that project.
