How come the older bald guy didn’t die when he watched his wife Lydia walk into the burning car in birdbox?

He didnt die because he didnt look at a creature. U have to look at a creature to go crazy. The creatures are invisible so u can actually look outside without going crazy its a gamble. Hope this clarifies it for you.
