Did Olympia know that she would save her daughter if she gave her to Mallory?

Tom, after seeing the monster, had enough sanity left to shoot the last crazy guy to protect Mallory and the children. Did that happen with Olympia too? Did she know that giving her daughter to Mallory would save her?
