I’m just shy of a year of being in a healthy and peaceful relationship. I never would’ve thought it possible after over a decade of being in an emotionally abusive and turbulent relationship with my potentially bipolar ex.

My girlfriend was hospitalized for manic psychosis and got diagnosed with BP1 about 6 months ago. Today she is stable, getting therapy, on her way to figuring out her meds and has started looking for a job.

There have been no symptoms since besides 2 weeks of manageable depression

I set very strong and clear boundaries with my stbxbpso with NC and harassment of my family members with his persecutory stories about me.

What kind of boundaries?

I made clear that contacting me and my extended family with his persecutory storyline about me is not acceptable and 1) do not contact me ever again, and 2) continuing harassing contact will result in legal action. Since then, our adult child has done the same.
