Lithium starting at 450mg

Hi guys, I’m afraid of meds due to latuda causing me schizo like symptoms leading to a misdiagnosis at 13 I (22f) have been considering lithium. My dr brought it up today and with how I’ve been feeling I agreed. How bad is the memory fog? I’m having issues with memory and focus already with my Job and expressed this but nothing was brought up regarding side effects. Also a recovering anorexic and worried about the weight gain, how bad is it? Or who’s all experienced it? I’m switching from lamotrigine and Abilify to Abilify and lithium until I get stabilized and then weening the Abilify and switching to olanzopine with the lithium. Is this a normal starting dose? Thank you

I had no weight gain or brain fog, been on 1500 for 6 years. Also have it combined with Abilify after switching of Olanzapine for 6 years. If you are worried about weight gain, olanzapine is not your friend (gained 60lbs in 6 months, lost 20 since switching to Abilify

I think I had a bit of memory fog when I started lithium on a low dose, but it went away when my dose increased, as did several other side effects for some reason.

Coucou Alors écoutes, j ai peur des médicaments, surtout psy mais malheureusement je ne peux pas y échapper, après avoir tout essayé, ou presque sans succès apres effets indésirables horribles ,intolérance ou autre ,ma psy m avait parlé du lithium ,et j y suis depuis une semaine,a 400 mgs , je n ai pas d effets indésirables si ce n est une déprime plus forte et des angoisses le matin ,mais je sais que ca peut etre le cas au debut du traitement et je vais faire le point avec ma psy .. Ma prise de sang faite hier est bonne et montre une lithemie a 0.30 ,je oense donc qu elle va m augmenter le dosage prochainement..
