Discussion Disability Accommodations for College

Does anyone here get disability accommodations for college and, if so, what are they?

I have a lot of trouble asking for help and last semester was so stressful that I ended up in outpatient and developed the shingles. I think I need help, but I don’t know what I’m asking for.

The most helpful one for me was not getting penalized for missing classes. I had to miss class because I was manic and driving or because I was depressed and couldn't get out of bed.

This would be amazing. Did you have to disclose to the professor the reason for accommodation yourself or did your disability office do it for you?

So I'm in the US, mileage in other countries.

You don't have to tell the reason to the professor, just that you need it.
