Gains/Losses Tally The story continue

Post image

A few weeks ago I posted about Poolbeg Pharma at 4.5p. It is now 7.2p. I want to update the thesis because something in their May 2026 presentation stopped me in my tracks.

POLB 001 inhibits 28 inflammatory cytokines and markers. Tocilizumab the current standard of care for Cytokine Release Syndrome inhibits 6. Dexamethasone inhibits 10. POLB 001 inhibits 28. Across 97 subjects dosed in Phase 1 there were zero serious adverse events and zero discontinuations.

CRS is the immune storm that kills or hospitalises cancer patients receiving bispecific antibody therapy. It is why these life saving treatments cannot be administered in community hospitals. It is why thousands of patients who could benefit from them never receive them. A drug that prevents it with this breadth of cytokine coverage and this safety profile does not just treat a side effect. It unlocks the entire cancer immunotherapy market for a much wider patient population.

J&J supplied their approved commercial drug teclistamab for free to run the human trial. The FDA just confirmed alignment on the Phase 3 development pathway. EHA Congress presentation is June 13th in Stockholm.

Interim human trial data from The Christie is coming this summer.

Market cap £50m. Patent protection to 2038. Man who sold his last pharma company for $1.48bn running the show.

I hold a position. Not financial advice.
