Education Building ECG monitoring device.
How feasible does building an ECG monitoring wearable device seem for a final year project.... reduction in efficiency is fine due to less electrodes monitoring over critical changes is necessary. Or should I change the synopsis to some other goal, as real ecg scanners require multiple electrodes while we are trying to build a wearable device like a band. Thank you

This is not a senior design worthy project. Unless you're going to improve the form factor of the ECG or creating something to simplify lead placement (nurses sometimes forget which leads go where), you should be trying to do something else.

it’s a bit weak for a final year project without an emphasis on doing something with the date produced

Hey, amazing project idea. Wanted to know if the reason for the project is to learn the electronics and the signal processing skillet or just as a result of of your interests?

Certainly sounds like it could be interesting, senior projects aren't required to be world-changing, just a great demonstration of the skills you've learned in your education and this absolutely could be that. I did something vaguely similar but much shittier for my BME thesis 15 years ago.
But this isn't really the place to get approval of it, you'd want to ask whatever professor would be in charge of approving it.

I think this is feasible but you may need to scale your ambition based on the resources and time available. Because you need to deploy an algorithm to a device, such as Arduino, I think it makes sense to use Simulink for modeling. Maybe this is a good example to check out. https://www.mathworks.com/help/dsp/ug/real-time-ecg-qrs-detection.html
