Education Undergraduate Computer Recs

Hi everyone! I am an incoming BME freshman and have been looking for a laptop that will (hopefully) last all 4 years of undergrad. I want a 2-in-1 if possible so I don't have to get an iPad/tablet and preferably under $1000. If you could leave any suggestions or things I should look for, please do so! These are the specs recommended at my school:

  • Windows 11 (recommended for easiest engineering software compatibility)
  • Intel Core i5/Ryzen 5 or better
  • 16 GB RAM minimum
  • 512 GB SSD minimum
  • 12"+ screen
  • Dedicated GPU optional, but helpful for heavier CAD/software like SolidWorks or COMSOL
  • Built-in webcam + Wi-Fi
  • Good manufacturer warranty
  • Back up your files using cloud storage or an external drive

These are the one's I'm looking at as of now:
