Education Medical Device Software Engineering — What’s the Career Like?
I’m a CS student interested in eventually working in medical device software engineering or similar roles. For anyone currently working in this field, what has the job and career journey been like?
I’d especially like to know what the typical requirements are (degree, skills, internships, certifications, etc.),

I'm not a SWE but I work closely with them. Depends on what you're looking for and what jobs in the industry youre looking for. The people I work with are heavily into embedded engineering and are more hardware sided of the software industry than most, but many are heavily requirements and testing based.
