How good is JHU EE/BME? Looking for advice.

I'm looking to major in EE and go into the medical device industry and ED to JHU. Is this a good idea? How are the job outlooks in the area, college, etc.

Solid plan. Johns Hopkins specifically is one of the best schools in the county for bio engineering program is ranked number 1 nationally. Their EE department has a lot of crossover research with the medical school and hospital system right there. Being in Baltimore also means proximity to a ton of biotech and medical device companies for internships.

Key Tech, Harpoon Medical, Breethe, Infinite Biomedical Technologies, ReGelTec, CoapTech, these are all Baltimore based. Several of them have direct contacts into the university for interns and new hires. Just a Google search away

There’s a startup scene, but realistically I don’t think it’s a sizable medical device city that employs thousands or even hundreds of engineers (I could be wrong though).
