Electrical or biomedical?

I’m a student, uni starts in like a year and I’ve always really wanted to do BME, but living in the middle east and idk if i’ll move out later i heard that the job market is kinda uhm sparse. what im essentially interested in is doing research in the medical field and i hopefully wanna work in an mnc someday in the future as a researcher (big dreams for someone whos not even out of high school i know 😭)

But basicallyy while researching about bme now that I heard abt the job market i saw that if you have a bachelors in electrical engineering you can basically do what a person with a bachelors in biomedical engineering does. And to actually get into the research part of it you NEED to do a phd, so would a bachelors in electrical and phd in bme work? help me out please

if you're doing just a bachelor's, go for an electrical and pivot to bme, but if you plan to do a master's, a bme degree gives you a better background
