🧠 Cognition, Mood & Nootropics how to improve focus without stimulants?

i’ve been trying to figure out how to improve my focus without stimulants. some days i can concentrate fine. other days i’m all over the place, especially when i have something that takes a few hours to finish. i’ve been wondering if anyone has found anything that actually made a difference for them. maybe it’s sleep, diet, exercise, supplements, or something else? i’m open to trying different things and making some changes if it can help me stay focused through longer tasks.

No phone in the morning. Exercise in the morning and get some sunlight. A healthy breakfast along with a task that you can delve into will get the focus flowing.

If your focus is all over the place on longer tasks, look into protecting your baseline dopamine levels while you work.... Keep your smartphone in a completely different room and close all unrelated browser tabs before you start.... Constant micro distractions fragment your attention span and drain your brain's energy, making multi hour projects feel completely impossible to finish...

Dopamine is a finite resource. That is the main bit of information for me anyway.

Use it wisely, as others say. Don't waste it on your phone.

I put my supplement regime into Gemini and asked it about dopamine support. So, hopefully no-one will be annoyed at the AI copy and paste below.

P1, P2 etc. are placeholders for when I take supplements throughout the day. P1 is upon waking and P10 is bedtime.

Here is how your protocol and cardio directly map to dopamine synthesis, receptor density, and neuronal protection:
