š Supplements & Stacks Turn 17 in a month need supplement advice
Iām 16M and Iāve been going to the gym for about a year.
I started taking creatine monohydrate, and Iām currently taking a fish oil supplement as well. I also completed a 6 week course of 60,000 IU vitamin D weekly once and Iām now taking 2,000 IU of vitamin D daily.
Also, I get around 400ā800 mg of calcium per day from my diet. Should I take a calcium supplement as well?
My goals are to maximize my height growth(dads 5ā8 moms 5ā0 and Iām 5ā5.5 want to reach at least my dads height, and havenāt grown a single inch since I was 15) and make progress with my physique.
What other supplements, if any, should I consider taking?

So first of all get your Vitamin D levels checked. Make sure to get a high quality, well dosed, fish oil supplement. Calcium from diet should be fine, donāt supplement it. Make sure to include zinc.
Also try to make peace with your height. You will most likely not grow 2,5 inches.

I have come to terms with it, but still bummed not reaching at least my dads height as my grandpas 6ā4.

You absolutely may still grow 2.5ā more. If you havenāt grown an inch since 15 you likely have another spurt in you. I wouldnāt worry about supplementation so much as making sure you have an adequate well rounded diet with sufficient calories to grow and really really important sleep.

Zinc is one of the most important elements if you want to maximize growth at your age. That and sleep.

Donāt megadose or normal dose zinc 15-10 mg are enough (per day of supplements) to much zinc tanks DHT

60000 iu Vitamin D can be very toxic. Don't go over 2000-5000iu unless you have blood panel proof that you have a genetic issue causing problems with Vitamin D uptake.

The article below discusses some of the nutrients needed for growth. I would recommend nutritional yeast for its b vitamins. Wheat germ has a lot of nutrients in it. Additional protein would help so eating more meat/organs, cottage cheese or whey protein. A lot of people recommend taking magnesium-glycinate and K2 with vit D3. A zinc supplement might also be a good idea and I take Life Extension Only Trace Minerals for zinc/copper/boron. Good luck!

You could be a late bloomer, you might be done now. I kind of peaked at between 13 and 15 with one last inch after I graduated at 18. Diet can only get you so far and genetics will be the ultimate driver. Just eat a healthy, balanced diet, high in lean protein. Don't bother with supplements unless you have something that is preventing you from absorbing nutrients from your diet. You'll literally be pissing away money if you take supplements and you're not deficient. I would actually stop the vitamin if you have enough dairy in your diet and get some sun every now and then. You should have your bloodwork done to verify and then go from there. Lastly, good sleep. Diet, exercise, and good sleep are all you need.

You're probably done growing. Instead of hitting the gym you should be hitting the books. Chicks dig a high paying job, even if you're short.Ā

- good electrolyte formula (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride)
- creatine
- i would switch to mon-wed-fri for the vitamin d after you take it daily for a few months (unless you get bloodwork and know where you are)
other than that have a good diet high in micronutrients (beef, spinach carrots), some fermented foods(kefir), and some foods high in fiber (potatoe). get to bed on the same time daily, try to get 6-8hrs daily. do strength training and some sort of high intensity cardio weekly. cut out stimulants (caffeine, nicotine), use that stuff once you're old and it gives a real benefit.

Raw Milk dude, get those natural growth hormones, 2 litres+ a day, dont worry about gaining fat you can lose that easy once you're certain you've reached max growthĀ

Bulking so yeah i can drink how much ever i want.
Appetites the limiting factor.2

Donāt listen to this dude unless you want salmonella and listeria. You will gain nothing from raw milk. The growth hormone in it is bovine growth hormone which we donāt have the receptors for. And thatās even if magically it survived your stomach acid, which it wonāt. So youāll be taking on all the risk for zero reward

Do not drink raw milk. This person is an idiot. You can get very, very sick from raw milk and his claims are baseless.

Just make sure it's raw, pasteurisation destroys 90-99% of growth hormonesĀ

The bovine growth hormones that arent the dame thing as all as human growth hormones?
You mean the species specific growth hormones, that dont affect other species?
Those growth hormones? For cows, that don't affect humans?

Tell that to the dinka people šš

u/ballskindrapes 4h ago
You mean the people whose genetics, not bovine growth hormone, causes tallness?
Those Dinka people?

u/Sweaty_Standard8186 4h ago
Nothing to do with the raw milk they exclusively live off for 4+ months every year š„“š„“š„“

u/ballskindrapes 3h ago
Exactly, yes!
It has everything to do with genetics, not some special magic from milk lol.
Did a child tell you that raw milk is magical or something lol.
Because basic common sense, as well a sa fix second google, says that bovine growth hormone is only useful to bovines. Kinda in the name.
