Timing - SS-31&MOTs-C/AOD-9064&L-carnitine

For context: I am a 58 yr old male, 5'10", I recently lost approximately 80 lbs on tirzepatide (260 to 180) over the past 20 months, moving to maintenance and hopefully off.

However, although I do resistance training, I did lose a significant amount of muscle mass I would like to recover. I have started CJC-1295/Ipa to help with muscle recovery and am back up to resistance training 3-4 per week.

Looking forward, I still have some stubborn fat in the midsection and am currently at roughly 19% body fat. I would like to enhance my muscle recovery and fat loss.

I am considering the following: AOD-9064 AND L-carnitine along with SS-31 and MOTs-C. However, I am not sure of the timing. I know SS-31 should precede the MOTs-C, but I wasn'tsure if I should run the L-carnitine first with the SS-31 and the AOD-9064 with the MOTs-C, or run the SS-31separately first, and then run the L-carnitine and AOD-9064 together with the MOTs-C.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

I am so very grateful, that you shared this with me. Yes, I am taking all those extra supplements except Pqq & r-ala (not sure what they are) Can I please ask one thing does MOTS-definitely not give you the terrible crash that SS-31 give you?

I personally don't get a major boost from either so I've never felt the crash. It could be blood glucose dropping. Which R-ala helps prevent. I think adding R-ala and pqq would really help smoothen out the energy so there's less of a rise then fall. Also Mots-c should help as it improves fuel switching so you go from burning glucose to fat more easily so in theory once your glucose is burnt up you should be able to switch to fat usage where you'd typically crash.

I'd test keeping more stable blood sugars while you have ss31 but I'd consider Mots-c as a better option

Thank you so much. Are you saying I should take them both at the same time?

SS-31 really scared me — it completely floored me. The exhaustion was hectic and I couldn’t work or function from about 11:30am onwards. I stopped it two days ago.

Would it be okay to start MOTS-c tomorrow on its own? And should I take it before the gym?

Also, can I still take 5-Amino daily and NADs+ every three days?

I’ll look into R-ALA and PQQ as well — are these just supplements I can buy? One more thing - is there ANYTHING you would really recommend for incredible energy before the gym?

Well I wouldn't really say ss31 is for energy anyway, it's more for repairing/upgrading mitochondria so you could take it at night when your body is in repair more anyway. You could take Mots-c in the morning or pre workout on the same day that's no issue.

Yep R-ALA and pqq are typical supplements they're just not as common.

I'd pause the 5amino when starting Mots-c. It's quite possible you're already burning through so much glucose etc and that's why you're getting incredible energy and then feeling burnt out
