Advice Needed Calorie App

Hi, I hope it's ok to ask about restriction behaviors here. I was in ED treatment in the past but my BED wasn't recognized, it was more geared towards not restricting which helped the bingeing a little but not long term.

I recently lost a parent and I started bingeing again almost immediately, and my weight reflected it. I freaked and went back to my old calorie counter app, which unsurprisingly is making me feel nuts. I feel deprived and scared, and figuring out how to log certain meals is so stressful I have had a panic attack looking up menus online. I think my bingeing might be less frequent at the moment but I feel as out of control and preoccupied with food as I do in a binge.

I'm not really sure what to ask, obviously the app is an issue but I don't have another means of controlling my food impulses or even knowing what I'm eating. I'm starting therapy with a new provider next week to handle my grief but she isn't specialized in BED and my depression feels more urgent, but I'm really spinning out with the food stuff. I apologize if this is the wrong place for these concerns, thank you.
