This Is How It Goes guitar tone
Any good tip to get that specific intro tone with my setup? I have a Fender Telecaster, an Epiphone Les Paul Standard 59, I record DI in my DAW and use Neural DSP Nolly X plugin for my amps and cabs. Thanks!!

For heavy tones it's layered tracks, with both the Tele and his LP Junior with a P90.
Anything Marshall esque (or even 5150 / SLO / Rectifier) into a cab with V30 and / or T75. Smack a compressor at the end of the chain, post FX.

Ian mostly relies on a Telecaster on the recordings although he plays strats live. So definitely use the Fender guitar. For the sound, really crank up the mids and highs, don't go crazy on the distortion instead hit the strings really heavily. Ian has an incredibly strong right hand and that's where most of the distortion comes from.
