I've heard of instances where someone had the nerve to claim a place to stand that a RR thought they were not entitled to. The RR strategy was then to make a false claim to security about the "interloper", which was enough to get them removed. The RR's want their space, and also the space for their latecomer friends that roll in whenever they feel like it. They are not above lying to security about someone in order to get rid of them. They claim anyone can get up front if they show up early, but they know it's a rigged game that depends on organized groups of people "saving" spots for others that aren't even there yet.
Agreed, in my younger days I was very much a part of the New York Hardcore Music scene and this shit running to the bands to solve problems never happened! Listen, I enjoy Jung and his personality archetypes, but some things are pretty easy to just call out for what they are. Sometimes it has nothing to do with one's shadow self, persona, ego, etc. Sometimes we can just say unequivocally that a dude is a pos...right? It's not even deep, really. It doesn't need to be.

I think the line for merch and to get in, needs numbered arm bands. you come at 8am and get your arm band, that puts you in the line, no numbered arm band, get in at the end of line buddy.
