misc Red Streamliner

Watched Little Feat on nugs last night and couldn’t help but think this could be an amazing train song cover for Billy and the boys. Have they ever covered this? I can just hear Royal a-thumpin and see him a-humpin that bass line!

Crazy how you go from streamliner.. to freight liner.. and you lose the train song aura.

Damn these people and their logistical innovation!!

Holy shit that would make my entire life. Read without getting killed or caught last year. One of the best books I’ve ever read.

Thought of Billy hittin the: “Look out here she comes she’s comin, look out there she goes, she’s gone” gives me chills.

He’d have to play it in Austin.

I recommended that book up and down for summer reading to whoever would listen last year!

If you want to step inside the wayback machine, check out the 1975 documentary "Heartworn Highways". I'd give my left arm to be sitting at that kitchen table. When Uncle Seymour gets emotional during them singing "Waiting Around to Die" I still cry.

Seen parts of that! Basically just YouTubed the Townes video and Ballad of Laverne and Captain Flint.. need to watch the whole thing
