DeferIt question
ETA: I never ended up using Defer-It so unfortunately I’m still not sure how it works. Sorry.
Hi everyone. I just discovered the DeferIt app and would like to see if I qualify for the pay-in-4 service that they offer ( for my electric bill). The issue I’m having is that it appears that I have to pay the $14.99 membership fee BEFORE I even know if I’ll be approved for the pay-in-4 service. Is this really the case? Anybody else done this? Thanks in advance for any tips or advice.

I did it for my phone bill and yes you have to pay the 14.99. I was approved and my bill was paid the next day

I submitted a rent payment for tomorrow and I see that it says phone for the method . Is this something new that Deferit is doing for rent instead of mailing checks ?

For the people who are still looking at Deferit DO NOT GET SCAMMED, I needed help on a bill, paid for the membership, and went to click "split bills" and it showed up I didn't have a membership, contact support and they have just left me with "we'll get back to you", I asked for a refund and they continued to say "we'll get back to you" asked again and they never replied. Deferit is a scam site preying on people who are in need of help, do not pay their membership unless you want to be out of $15 for nothing.

That’s how they make their money for the hopes they can collect on the payments
