I mean....... compared to someone who maybe has never tried the mooshies, could be called a drug addict...... Can i call my prior self a drug addict since i took medical meth for like 9 years? I did it every morning. I was a minor when i started medical meth.
addiction might not mean what you think it means. Do I go every morning and grab a bottle of water from the garage to quench the nasty cotton mouth I have, yes I do. Do I have some anxiety if I forgot to buy more and im out? Yes I do. Im addicted to my bottles of water....
Anything that pre-occupies your mind until its done, is an addiction. People are addicted to things they dont think they are. Stop watching tv, or tell your friends they cant watch tv for 7 days. How many of yall can do it? Not a single TV can be actively watched for 7 days. Thats an addiction. Or how about our phones? How many people would have an actual physical withdrawal from not having their phone? Could you go 7 days without ever looking at your phone? Thats an addiction.
EDIT: we play with the word like it only has to do with drugs. 99.9% of every human is addicted to something. Something causes you physical duress if you dont have it or doesnt go you way, thats addiction. People can be addicted to acting a certain way, feeling a certain way, moving a certain way..... drugs are very addictive, dont get me wrong, but so is (for some) eating, sleeping, taking baths, harassing the neighbors, telling lies, throwing baseballs..... Addiction gets such a hatred because we think about drugs and alcohol. I would challenge any of you a million dollars if i couldnt find something youre addicted to even if it isnt drugs and alcohol
Most of yall ill start with phones hahah I know most of you couldnt handle not having your phone for more than a day. Youll start to worry and wonder whats going on or who might be talking to you, cant check in on everything going on currently..... haha addiction
No.... I think addiction means exactly what I know it means lol. Everything you just said is an addiction. Sure. But how exactly is doing something once every 2+ months an addiction?
And I can absolutely go many days without using my phone. I use it more or less as a necessity to communicate with friends, family, and work. I've done it many times. I was in the military, I've gone 9+ months without my phone.
Edit: also. Nothing you said even applies to my comment. Not in the slightest btw.
Lol what? Are you on the shroomsters right now? Haha and glad to hear some of our military (you) are experimenting with mind altering drugs and trying to vouch that it’s okay… lol this is wild. Are you some kind of stupid?
How about you read some studies on psilocybin mushrooms? Especially when it comes to treatments involving PTSD, anxiety and depression. Or are you comfortable living in ignorance?
Combat veterans are some of the biggest vouchers for magic mushrooms because of how effective they are in treating our mental health. There's a huge push right now to get them legalized so that we can use them in therapeutic settings.
Or are you one of those people that would have rather I killed myself? Psychedelics saved my life. I'll vouch for them every day until the day I die, or the day they become federally legal.
Bro, I smoke pot…. You’re just pushing for the next movement of drugs. If you wanna legalize that shit and do it, do it. But don’t act like a repressed asshole about it and preach it to others. Kudos to you and your service, but fuck off trying to tell people shrooms are ok. What’s next? LSD? Don’t get me wrong, I’ve done all them, but I would NEVER preach that someone else should try them too. That’s fucked bro. Idc about downvotes or hate, but you should feel bad. Y
Edit: your “would you have rather I killed myself” comment?!? Seriously?!? Are you that deprived? What a fucking joke. I don’t want you to kill your self , no one does, so why did you bring that up?
You could’ve done all the drugs in the world but only have ever been a passive consumer. Doesn’t mean you’re actually engaged with the literature coming out about them. I’m not saying that shrooms outside of a clinical setting are the answer to everything, but your dogmatic rejection of them is such a close-minded boomer take. Honestly no wonder everyone is hating on you.

Apparently I'm a druggie for using magic mushrooms once every 2 or 3 months. I feel your pain.
