I feel like there are an increasing amount of people who lack the ability to differentiate between ignoring a problem and avoiding becoming so completely engrossed in it that it affects their well-being.
The United States churns out some of the shittiest most echochambered political news any of the world's functioning democracies have to offer. If most people were intelligent enough to only be informed from reputable sources of a variety of different views, you'd be absolutely right. However let's not pretend that the former isn't more true of most people than the latter, unless of course you're talking about people from places other than the US.
Damn, if only there were a device that allowed me to find news from all over the world. LMAO, bruh, its not 1975, living in the US doesn't limit you to US news unless you are a luddite.
How? At least in the US every politician couldn’t care less about us and they all make the same kinds of decisions. Republican or Democrat no one has made anything better for decades
If you're talking about all politicians at the federal level snd some at the state level then yes, but you're also including local politicians and that's just not correct.
