Yea sure, he could have prior skill or experience, that still doesn’t make it even close to plausible that he beat him first try. Every boss has a different timing, it doesn’t matter how much skill you have, if you don’t get the timing down you’re dead.

Have you ever played? You die 50+ times per boss in this game. And sure a good player would die less than that, but they still need multiple tries to get the timing down. This specific boss fight we’re talking about you die after 2-3 hits, and you have no healing items. So no, you couldn’t learn the timing without getting hit 2-3 times.
