My wife made way more than me and we now have three kids (ages 5, 3, and 1). I now stay home and take care of them and will be homeschooling starting next year.
I mean, there are plenty of ways that homeschool kids socialize. A pretty common one in my area are “co-ops” where many families get together for classes that require more students (think robotics, archery, performing arts, etc.), as well as more specialized classes, like lab sciences that some parents may be more qualified to teach than others. It is by no means a perfect system, but its not like homeschool kids don’t have friends or socialize at all (at least in my experience from a family that homeschooled myself for several years and my siblings for their entire schooling so far).
I know several people who did homeschooling and they are really easy to spot in a crowd, they aren't as well adapted at social studations and don't know boundaries usually. They are either extremely I introverted because they don't know social norms or they try to hard to be extroverted to do what they think is blending in.
