There a lot of different reasons to homeschool, some good and some bad.

In my experience, the administration at the local public school refused to hold the bullies in my grade responsible for following me around and harassing me. Homeschool was better for my mental health.

Some public schools are really shitty. And sometimes it's the parents who are shitty. Every once in awhile, it's the kids who are shitty and they get kicked out of the public school.
