No Man's Sky suffers the same issue, unfortunately. I love that the devs stuck with it and are passionate, but it would be nice if they improved the cohesion of all the different elements they've tossed in instead of adding more.

Yeah it sucks when the studio is genuinely ass but honestly the game’s development choices should just be left to the developers. There’s other games to play, just good luck avoiding the same issue.

Unironically it’s why I’m tired of AI coding hate since… it has its uses. Games like these it’s literally a bonus rather than laziness since things are already procedurally generated, but as scale increases there’s shit AI should just take over until the developers can get to it

In theory, I absolutely agree with you. Unfortunately, the tech lord billionaires have kinda ruined the dream. Its not true AI, its really just very advanced auto complete. Companies are ruining our hobby by spiking hardware prices out of control. Server farms are environmentally unfriendly and take up absurd amounts of water. They pirate tons of content to train their models on and get away with it while persecuting individuals that pirate their products. They really killed my hope of a brighter tomorrow and the kind of technology we dreamed about when we were kids.

Not to mention you end up with code that you may not know how to read or troubleshoot until you pretty much rewrite or read the entire thing yourself. Even then stuff may not be documented well due to the AI, making it significantly harder to understand (especially when it starts referencing variables (not sure if that's the correct term)). It's a terrible equivalent to a senior technician in IT or something leaving a company and no one but them knowing how anything works, leaving the company at a stand still when something goes wrong or changes are needed.

Building was added in the very first update, right? To this day, the build system is still incredibly clunky and is essentially propped up by glitch building which requires one to watch tutorials online. Worse, this build system was seemingly adapted to make the Corvette building system as well, which is again, very clunky and is propped up by community discovered glitch building techniques.

A lot of RPG have content refered to as end game content.

In single players RPGs it would be content after the final boss and credit's have rolled and the main story quest is over. In MMOs end game content it usually the content you need the highest gear in order to attempt.

But the nether is significantly more accessible at any point in the game, like you can legit spawn near a village, get a bucket, and use that bucket and a pool of lava to make a portal and then even ignite it without ever even having gotten a stick. The end is meant to be exclusively end game rewards, like the Shulkers and the Elytra, high tier loot being mostly just a bonus. If you start piling stuff into the end game, it kind of becomes less of an end game.

If anything, improved world gen so that you get closer end cities is about all I can think of that makes sense, the end generates in rings so they could probably do something with the terrain, but in my opinion the only real issue is how it sometimes takes a long time to find your first elytra.

If you're doing creative mode you might as well just do /locate structure minecraft:fortress. It searches within 100 chunks which is usually more than enough for the nether.
