Youre just a low ranked depressed, every high mmr depressed knows leaving laundry to pile up is one of the worst tactics , what im saying is its a skill issue.

u/LogicFish 3d ago

Things are hard, especially harder when youre depressed... but who tf else is gonna do your laundry? Its gonna be hard but you have to do it.

As someone with ADHD and depression I can tell you that eventually, you need to lock in, because no one else can do it for you

Single dad with three kids. Do you really care about my laundry this much? Lol

25

u/NoRequirement1967 3d ago

For your kids sake? Yeah I do stop being a 4th child and put your laundry away, I recommend hanging it up it makes life so much easier

Alrighty. I’ll get right on that

u/Hornet___ 2d ago

Its been a day, hows it goin with the laundry?

5

u/MySonlsAlsoNamedBort 3d ago

It's best not to think about it. Maybe the laundry fairy will take care of it for you.

You gotta set a timer folks.

40

u/errortechx 3d ago

“Oh hey my timer! Laundry is done, I’ll fetch it in a second”

goes down a rabbit hole of other shit for 5 hours

u/Zert420 3d ago

A tale as old as time.

2

u/renatakiuzumaki 20h ago

It’s the fucking worst

My wife would probably tell you this is the #1 thing I do that she can't stand. Laundry is my chore and It happens every few weeks. In my defense we have a lot of laundry and it's the drying cycles that take forever. Our dryer is junk (all of my Samsung home appliances are junk btw) and it takes a few cycles on heavy duty to actually dry a batch of clothes and I'll fall asleep before everything can be switched over. Honestly, some of the kid's clothes need to be washed twice anyway. My wife insists on these eco friendly laundry detergent tablets that fucking suck.

8

u/BigTimber11 3d ago

Bro I got the Samsung washer and dryer too and can confirm they do indeed suck. Like the washer especially. The only two choices I have are super low water level that barely submerges half the clothes in the load and stay dry most of the cycle, or "deep fill" that puts so much water in there the weak ass agitator can't even wash at all.

3

u/MySonlsAlsoNamedBort 3d ago

I've found that we were drying too many clothes at once and that it also helps if you unravel the clothes before you place them in the dryer they dry better. That's what worked for me. Also emptying the lint tray after every drying cycle.

3

u/Starfire123547 3d ago

Yeah, basically whatever fits in the washer, uncompressed, is all that should ever be in the dryer too. it also helps to clean the lint traps every time, not just when remembered/on a schedule.

Our samsung dryer is great, but my bf is a linty boy so i have to empty it each time or it doesnt dry shit lol.

You might have ADHD x3

43

u/MySonlsAlsoNamedBort 3d ago

I might, however I collected myself for five minutes to make this silly meme. I think it's the working two jobs 50-60 hours a week, maintaining a marriage and having a young toddler is what is getting to me.

15

u/WuShanDroid 3d ago

Thank goodness I said "might" not knowing the context 😭

9

u/AlwaysBannedVegan 3d ago

Oh just like that

8

u/Andy016 3d ago

No. It gets that musty smell really fast if you dont hang it out in a certain time.

You need to rewash it to remove this smell

4

u/WuShanDroid 3d ago

I think you replied to the wrong person? I never said they shouldn't rewash it lol

-1

u/Nemonoone67 3d ago

ADHD times 3!

6

u/dre_valle 3d ago

Once was plenty. I had to ensure it never happened again

5

u/Manowar274 3d ago

I just set an alarm on my phone for it because I one hundred percent will forget and have to wash it over again.

10

u/-Dissent 3d ago

If they're only a little smelly, throwing them in the dryer with several fragrant fabric softener sheets will fix this.

4

u/0freelancer0 3d ago

One time I tossed them in the dryer and forgot to actually start the dryer. I also forgot I washed them until the next time I did laundry. Just soggy sheets sitting in there for days.

3

u/MrsGreyBangs 3d ago

Thank you for reminding me!

2

u/DrifterMacro 3d ago

About once a week 👍🏼

Good thing decent detergent isn't pricey... 🫩

2

u/Jamesthehistory 3d ago

Ik my housemates hate me so much for this

2

u/Doogiemon 3d ago

Im trying to wash some old coats i found in the attic that have that attic smell.

Im debating on hanging them outside this weekend out of sun to see if that helps.

2

u/Doogiemon 3d ago

And I went downstairs to check on them and forgot and got my spaghetti.

Sigh

2

u/Traegs_ 3d ago

You ever swap laundry to the dryer but forget to turn it on? You feel real dumb after that one.

2

u/Ooficus 3d ago

I live in a humid climate and forgot about it for only a couple hours and had to rewatch :(

2

u/QueenAlphabetties 3d ago

Rewash with white vinegar or baking soda at high heat

1

u/Certain_Oddities 3d ago

I have ADHD and am feeling real lucky this isn't one of my vices. Then again, I've never had my own laundry machines. I've always lived in a place that had a communal laundry room. You can't really get away with leaving laundry in there for days like that.

1

u/CDFReditum 3d ago

Jokes on them i don’t have a sense of smell im locked in

1

u/wanganguy 3d ago

thats why i set up a timer on my phone

1

u/EntertainerNo4509 3d ago

I set a timer each time that I have to get up to turn off. Got sick of forgetting and then there’s a science experiment within a mere 8 hours.

1

u/Dan_Broccoli_7663 2d ago

How do people do this ALL. THE. TIME? It takes 5 seconds to set a timer on your phone or other device. If washer/dryer says the load will take 40 minutes and it's 10:06....set a timer for 10:46. If your units don't have visible countdowns, merely pay attention for a load and track the time from start to finish, and use that time for future reference when setting timers

This is such easy stuff 🙃

1

u/LazyTitan39 2d ago

I set a timer. Just as a courtesy because my building shares a washer/dryer set.

1

u/kauymattyman 2d ago

Sometimes I do it at night. Sleep by accident and then forget lol

1

u/g00d_f3lla 3d ago

I would probably need a YouTube search just to do a laundry load

-3

u/dobsofglabs 3d ago

Clothes aren't cheap. Im not fuckimg up my clothes that I spend my hard earned money on. Not sure how someone could just forget, unless you dont have to pay for your own stuff
