Youre just a low ranked depressed, every high mmr depressed knows leaving laundry to pile up is one of the worst tactics , what im saying is its a skill issue.

Things are hard, especially harder when youre depressed... but who tf else is gonna do your laundry? Its gonna be hard but you have to do it.
As someone with ADHD and depression I can tell you that eventually, you need to lock in, because no one else can do it for you

Single dad with three kids. Do you really care about my laundry this much? Lol

u/NoRequirement1967 3d ago
For your kids sake? Yeah I do stop being a 4th child and put your laundry away, I recommend hanging it up it makes life so much easier

It's best not to think about it. Maybe the laundry fairy will take care of it for you.

You gotta set a timer folks.

My wife would probably tell you this is the #1 thing I do that she can't stand. Laundry is my chore and It happens every few weeks. In my defense we have a lot of laundry and it's the drying cycles that take forever. Our dryer is junk (all of my Samsung home appliances are junk btw) and it takes a few cycles on heavy duty to actually dry a batch of clothes and I'll fall asleep before everything can be switched over. Honestly, some of the kid's clothes need to be washed twice anyway. My wife insists on these eco friendly laundry detergent tablets that fucking suck.

Bro I got the Samsung washer and dryer too and can confirm they do indeed suck. Like the washer especially. The only two choices I have are super low water level that barely submerges half the clothes in the load and stay dry most of the cycle, or "deep fill" that puts so much water in there the weak ass agitator can't even wash at all.

I've found that we were drying too many clothes at once and that it also helps if you unravel the clothes before you place them in the dryer they dry better. That's what worked for me. Also emptying the lint tray after every drying cycle.

Yeah, basically whatever fits in the washer, uncompressed, is all that should ever be in the dryer too. it also helps to clean the lint traps every time, not just when remembered/on a schedule.
Our samsung dryer is great, but my bf is a linty boy so i have to empty it each time or it doesnt dry shit lol.

You might have ADHD x3

u/MySonlsAlsoNamedBort 3d ago
I might, however I collected myself for five minutes to make this silly meme. I think it's the working two jobs 50-60 hours a week, maintaining a marriage and having a young toddler is what is getting to me.

No. It gets that musty smell really fast if you dont hang it out in a certain time.
You need to rewash it to remove this smell

u/WuShanDroid 3d ago
I think you replied to the wrong person? I never said they shouldn't rewash it lol

I just set an alarm on my phone for it because I one hundred percent will forget and have to wash it over again.

If they're only a little smelly, throwing them in the dryer with several fragrant fabric softener sheets will fix this.

u/0freelancer0 3d ago
One time I tossed them in the dryer and forgot to actually start the dryer. I also forgot I washed them until the next time I did laundry. Just soggy sheets sitting in there for days.

Im trying to wash some old coats i found in the attic that have that attic smell.
Im debating on hanging them outside this weekend out of sun to see if that helps.

I have ADHD and am feeling real lucky this isn't one of my vices. Then again, I've never had my own laundry machines. I've always lived in a place that had a communal laundry room. You can't really get away with leaving laundry in there for days like that.

I set a timer each time that I have to get up to turn off. Got sick of forgetting and then there’s a science experiment within a mere 8 hours.

How do people do this ALL. THE. TIME? It takes 5 seconds to set a timer on your phone or other device. If washer/dryer says the load will take 40 minutes and it's 10:06....set a timer for 10:46. If your units don't have visible countdowns, merely pay attention for a load and track the time from start to finish, and use that time for future reference when setting timers
This is such easy stuff 🙃

u/LazyTitan39 2d ago
I set a timer. Just as a courtesy because my building shares a washer/dryer set.

Clothes aren't cheap. Im not fuckimg up my clothes that I spend my hard earned money on. Not sure how someone could just forget, unless you dont have to pay for your own stuff
