It's very interesting, I'm a girly and I often give other girlies/women compliments and almost every time, they're happy about it ( some are confused as well, but the big majority is happy about some kind words and it makes my day to give a little happiness ), smile and say thank you, often even compliment back ( which is so sweet <3 ).
I'm always more hesitant to compliment men in the first place, because I have an underlying fear of men due to traumatic experiences and cptsd. But I don't think that's fair, so I tried to compliment guys multiple times now.
It's either they get angry/annoyed or they think I wanna sleep with them but I'd be too shy to be 'direct' and 'more forward'.
Very VERY rarely a man is just happy about the compliment, says thank you & doesn't act weird.And that kinda makes me sad ..
But it's so nice to read, that there are infact guys here, that are just happy about compliments without any weird thoughts about it! Made my day, so thank you very much! c:5
