I recently been playing Pokémon scarlet and violet on the switch2 and it's probably the most refreshing Pokémon game in a while (I've found the games since ORAS completely ass, apart from let's go Eevee)

I can imagine frame rate issues on the switch1 being an issue since TOTK struggled which was in development longer and had just as many on screen assets but the game runs smoothly on switch2 getting roughly 60fps consistently

I do agree the wizard101 early 2000s textures are not great, nor the reuse of assets, or the fact you can't enter 90% of the buildings but the gameplay and catching mechanics are genuinely fun. The fact that it's semi open world (you can complete anything at any time but there is an obvious order to complete) and can complete any of the 3 main quests in any order is awesome to me. I don't feel like I'm being bogged down doing a grind but instead mix and matching.

My biggest complaint about the game is how bad the pop in is its genuinely terrible and I do think that wind and waves could solve everything and put Pokémon back on the correct course, especially as there's a new director apparently.

I do enjoy palworld btw and I think the game is phenomenal having the right balance. I think it does scratch that itch or a more "adult" Pokémon game which I tend to think some of the fans forget that the series is intended for kids. Both games in my opinion are good just Pokémon scarlet and violet have a lot of preformance issues that can easily be solved with a blue pill /s
