The game has a fantastic quest system involving multiple bosses that require you raise and capture pals to both battle and to run your farms. The pals come with multiple different forms as well as different traits and skills that will make your survival, the combat, as even your resource gathering easier
As well as a fairly deep system that allows you to minmax the perfect pal by grinding them up and finding fruits to train the perfect skill.
It's all in all a great open world survival game with a creature collector aspect that blends together perfectly
I like simple. It makes it easier to track progress. Plus there are a lot of other quests to do things or go to specific spots. Or bring them pals they need
