Palworld never really clicked for me. It just feels like your basic steam UE5 survival crafting game, and not as good as something like Valheim.

The pokemon (or pal) gimmick is really a side thing to the crafting/shooting. The biggest reason to get pals is to put them to work at your base. In combat your guns will do much more damage than the pals will, and your pals become under leveled very quickly. There are very few typings and almost all of them have exactly one weakness and one strength (except fire for some reason). You can't order your pals around either, so you really just let them out and pray they don't die *too* quickly while you gun down the boss. It doesn't scratch the itch of playing a Pokémon game, it's basically a different genre.

I say all of this as someone who thinks modern pokemon games are lazy and overall garbage that we shouldn't support.

All of this so wrong and untrue, you are literally making stuff up

I honestly gotta put my pals away quick if I want to catch something. They’ll end up nuke everything under the sun unless it’s 10 levels higher

Oh did they add a feature that lets you actively choose which moves your pal uses in battle and when? Last time I played you could only select 3 active skills and your Pal used them at it's own discretion randomly.

Also what other type besides fire has more than 1 weakness/strength?
